  • Martin Gorman

    President

    Martin Gorman is the Managing Director and founder of Red Earth Wines. He specializes in importing and distributing Australian wines within the U.S., and runs an online wine retail business called MyWinehunter.

    In Australia, Martin was a management consultant for nearly 20 years with DMR/Fujitsu Consulting and then IBM, leading national practices in Business Strategy and Enterprise Value Management.

    Martin and his wife Lisa moved to Seattle in November 2011 and were active ANZAS members for most of that time.

    Originally from Adelaide, Martin lived in Melbourne for 12 years with Lisa, before moving to Seattle. They now live in West Seattle with their dog, Herschel.

  • Christie Moffat

    Vice President & Communications Director

    Christie Moffat is a Technical Writer at Amazon Web Services (AWS). A seasoned writer and editor for more than a decade, Christie previously worked as a business journalist and covered multiple beats, including pharmacy, energy, commodities and real estate.

    Surprising just about everybody, Christie won the Diversity Visa lottery and moved to Houston, Texas, in April 2015. She spent nearly seven years learning about humidity, hurricanes and excellent tacos, before relocating to Seattle in January 2022.

    Raised in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Christie earned her Bachelor of International Studies and Master of International Law and International Relations from the University of New South Wales.

  • Jordan Reichelt

    Treasurer

    Jordan Reichelt is a Senior Manager at Spott, Lucey & Wall (SLW), a CPA firm specializing in the U.S. tax implications of cross-border transactions for individuals and privately-held businesses. 

    His clients are often investors and entrepreneurs in the real estate, technology and creative sectors and businesses from around the world, including many Australia-based clients.

    He also provides pre- and post-immigration advice to executives and employees of multinational corporations.

    Jordan grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from the University of Washington. After starting his career with SLW in San Francisco, Jordan returned to Seattle to help launch the firm’s small (but growing) Seattle branch in 2013. He lives in North Seattle with his wife and their dog, Mally.

  • Claire Manson

    Social Director & Events Committee Chair

    Claire Manson is the USA Boeing Key Account Manager and Senior Technical Advisor based in Seattle, Washington for CSIRO.

    CSIRO is Australia's national science organization, and conducts strategic long-term research in a wide range of areas, including agriculture, minerals and energy, manufacturing, construction, communications and the environment.

    As CSIRO’s Senior Technical Advisor to Boeing, the largest aerospace company in the world, Claire manages a diverse R&D portfolio to enhance and commercialize CSIRO science through various parts of Boeing.

  • Michael Brett

    Marketing Director

    Michael Brett is a Principal Specialist for Quantum Computing in the High Performance Computing group at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, he leads a global business development team and go to market activities for Amazon Braket, a fully-managed quantum computing service in the cloud.

    He was previously SVP for Applications at Rigetti Computing, a quantum computing hardware company based in Berkeley, California, and CEO of QxBranch, a quantum computing applications software company acquired by Rigetti in 2019.

    Michael has a background in systems engineering and risk analytics for aerospace applications. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Avionics and an Executive Master of Business in Complex Project Management, both from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.

  • Gillian Corby

    Secretary

    Gillian Corby is a Governance and Compliance Specialist currently working for Queensland Rail. She is part of the Major Projects Integration team, who are responsible for the delivery of the Cross River Rail project – a 6.3 mile rail line that includes 3.6 miles of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD, which will transform the way Queenslanders travel.

    Gillian is passionate about implementing technology to manage legal and safety compliance, and standardizing business processes. She obtained her law degree (LLB) from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa, before emigrating to Australia in 2012.

    Gillian also has a post graduate diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia, and has worked as a company secretary for ASX listed companies, NASDAQ listed companies, and not-for-profit organizations, both in Australia and the U.S.

  • Sallye Lindsay

    Relocation Assistance Committee Chair

    Sallye Lindsay is an entrepreneur and relocation expert. Also known as ‘Super Positive Jill of All Trades Lady’, Sallye has a degree in Intercultural Studies and Business, and has over 25 years of customer service experience.

    As a graduate of Northwest University and a businesswoman, Sallye takes a professional yet creative and fun approach to her work and life. She also serves her community as a member of Rotary.

    Although Seattle is home, she has lived in Australia and the UK and knows the excitement and stress that comes with moving overseas. From Seattle to Tacoma and the Eastside, Sallye’s goal is to make the process of relocating not just less stressful, but also enjoyable.
