Join the AACC Pacific Northwest board

The AACC Pacific Northwest is looking for a motivated, committed individual to join the board. The Director of Individual & Family Memberships will help the Chamber reach and engage with individual expatriates, professionals, and families in the PNW region.

THE ROLE

The Director of Individual & Family Memberships is a volunteer role with responsibility for the following tasks and functions:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enquiries from individual and family Chamber members (both current and prospective).

  • Identify the needs and expectations of individual and family members, and help the Chamber deliver relevant offerings that better meet these members' requirements.

  • With the oversight and support of the Board - particularly the Director of Events and Director of Communications - identify and support the development of engaging events, communications, and services that contribute to new membership uptake and existing member retention.

  • Lead concerted recruitment efforts to drive sustainable growth of the Chamber in both the individual and family membership categories.

  • Maintain the Chamber's CRM for individual and family members, develop processes to capture accurate data, identify trends, and produce meaningful demographic insights about the Chamber's membership base.

  • Work with the Director of Corporate Membership & Sponsors to identify opportunities to connect the Chamber's members across categories in a way that is appreciated and adds value.

  • Engage with the various matters of Chamber business that come before the board.

QUALIFICATIONS

You would be a good match for this role if you:

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Have a warm and welcoming disposition, and are passionate about helping individuals and families connect with the Chamber's mission.

  • Can reliably commit to attending the Chamber's various events and board meetings (typically held on evenings and weekends).

  • Have some depth of experience in a member-based organisation of any kind (either as a member, volunteer, and/or employee).

  • Are able to work in an open, professional, and collegiate manner with a small team of volunteer board colleagues.
